Literally the kid's a seventeen-year-old boy who has, by all appearances, been living next door to Wayne Manor since the day he was born. He's just also hilariously, laughably off any kind of radar Dick can think to find him with.

"Bored, right?" says Jason, and he smirks, and the kid goes absolutely beet goddamn red. "So like I said — me, too." He sticks a hand out, and the kid stares at it like it's got seventeen fingers and a tentacle attached. "I'm Jason."
"I know," blurts the kid, and then, impossibly, finds a deeper shade of red to blush. "I mean. We live next door. I've seen you around. I'm Tim."
He seems to recover a little — takes Jason's hand and shakes it, like a perfect little gentleman, and as he does, Jason says, "You're the Drake kid, right?"
Tim wrinkles his nose slightly, at that. "I'm not a kid," says the kid. "I'm only like two years younger than you."

Around hour four, Jason puts his fist through the wall.
It’s not really a wall, of course, just like it’s not really four hours, because Tim knows as well as anyone that time doesn’t work normally in dreams, but his watch has ticked on, diligent as the rest of his gear, and the wall is still solid enough to crumble.
It’s not real, but it is the spitting replica of his own childhood bedroom, and he can’t help but feel a pang of annoyance at the property damage. His parents wouldn't have been happy about that one.
In which I handwave some of the nightmare stuff from Knight Terrors: Robin to force Tim and Jason to engage with each other's specific traumas for longer, and a bit more hands on. (In which they realize they might have a few of those traumas in common.)

"He needs help, Bruce," a harshly whispered voice cut in from a distance. It was meant to be softer, whoever the man was, obviously not intended for him to hear, but they must have thought he was sleeping. His eyes were closed, granted, but he'd long since woken up in the strange room.
"He needs a doctor-" another male's voice followed.
"A psychiatrist, more like it," softer, feminine.
"Does it matter?" curt, cruel maybe.
He knew there was a voice missing, someone who would be very opinionated on this particular topic, but they were either being quiet, or they were missing. Maybe it was because of the time. It didn't really matter what any of them said though, it changed nothing. He was free again and none of them were going to want to help him-a reminder of monumental failures.

Her chestnut brown hair was loose, and flowed across her shoulders in soft, wavy curls. Her dress was simple, long sleeved and flowing dark fabric that suited her frame with a high neckline and a cut out exposing her back. She had to have been around Rose’s age and that should have been enough for Slade to look away, but something kept his attention firmly in place.
