Summary
“I am going to count to ten. I’ll do it a little bit slowly. If you want to help me prove that ghosts are real, I need you to either turn on or off the flashlight every time I say a number, as I say it. Flick the light again if you want to try this with me, please.” The flashlight flicked on.
“Your little game is never going to work,” Ben said. It never had before.
“One,” Rey said. Light off. “Two.” Light on. “Three… Ten.”
It worked. Ten times, off and on, with consistent and particular frequency. No pause after her words; no overlap with them. No stray flicks of the light. She turned to look at Ben and saw him mouth agape, brow furrowed. She was smug as a bug on a rug even as her cold fear lingered around her chest and limbs, tingling in her skin. He turned to meet her eye and frowned at her almost suspiciously, like he was expecting a prank or some dumb shit.
Rey respected the craft far too much for that.

Summary
Whatever it was that touched her legs, her thighs—it was trying to hold her differently, to drag her down—
It was maybe two, three seconds between the first yank and the second. Rey had time only to feel the icy flush of adrenaline and reach out to instinctively grab Poe’s exposed foot. When the ‘hunter’ grabbed her soundly by the hips and dragged her more solidly away, Rey’s hand slid over his foot until her hand was pulled away from it entirely, but as she was dragged back into the chamber, one thought stayed with her for a long moment: Poe felt that. He would turn and look for her. When he didn’t see anything but her light streaming away at too fast a pace—especially after whatever he had seen when he had been in the chamber, being ‘hunted’—he wouldn’t chase her, he’d go get help. He’d have to.
She tried to twist, to appraise what had her, what was happening. She was being flooded with purpose, with drive; she was going to have to think fast and react as soon as she could.
She was in danger.

Summary
When resurrecting your dead lover, please utilize extreme caution and an overabundance of patience.
Put another way: if your hot, powerful witch wife needs 250 years to resurrect you, then you definitely need more than 30 years to study her notes. Or else you are going to need to spend a helluva lot longer cleaning up your own mess.

Summary
“There was… A little potion in the last one,” he said.
“What?” Rey asked. She was confused, but she wasn’t alarmed. Not at first.
“It was mostly nutmeg, cinnamon, a touch of rosemary, just enough honey for it all to dissolve into, and… well… some semen.”
For several long moments, none of his words processed. Her hand came up to her lips as she remembered their steamy oral session at the end of their last date. She was shocked as the distant ghost of his flavor was born on her tongue, spreading over her like the growing, tingling flush of arousal coursing and growing and pulsating through her body.
“You—came in my drink?” she tried to confirm.

Summary
“Oh, don’t worry, darling. You’ll be just fine.”
Rey watched his angular face as he gazed at her, looking allured and anticipatory. His handsomeness was jarring; it was rough and elegant all at once. He was an anatomical study in profound contradictions; the severe, slashing lines of his cheekbones and jaw were betrayed only by the unexpected, plush softness of his mouth. The eyes beneath his heavy brow were alive with light and darkness at once.

Summary
Definitely, Rey’s least favorite of Ben’s kinks was the constant gaslighting to feel so strong and smart and in control, and it irked her that his stupid audience were like that, too.
She was so mad at him. She felt so burned and burnt-out in ways that were new even to her.
After all of them had finished, it was time to get cleaned up yet again. She didn’t even know what time it was. Hours and hours after they started, surely, but she couldn’t imagine it wasn’t her birthday anymore.
There were no windows in the bunker he’d sealed her in.
