Red Ice usage has grown worse in the underbelly of Detroit City. While statistics show an alarming rate of crime and violence caused by those under the influence of the drug, there is an equally alarming rise in Android-related violence and murder with perpetrators connected to one thing in various ways: Red Ice.
Hank Anderson, Gavin Reed and their partners Connor and Nines are assigned to investigate the latest Android murder, hoping to find something to fit the steadily growing morbid picture. They might discover more then they bargain for.

It's been a month since the end of a string of android serial murders and Detective Gavin Reed and his partner Nines are slowly moving forward with their lives. Nines' begins to spend the night at Gavin's at least twice a week - although he wishes it was more.
During these times Gavin finds himself in his own personal "Zen Garden" where he meets a version of himself - Zen!Gavin - that was erased from Nines' Zen Garden because of Ada's corruption. During these visits, Gavin starts to question whether or not he is truly enough for Nines, or whether Nines just wants him to be perfect, like the Gavin inside his head.-
