Summary
A Roleswap AU. HK800 is a unique investigative android, and one of the oldest recorded deviants, almost indistinguishable from a human in his behaviours and attitudes. As the deviancy crisis sweeps the streets of Detroit, he is loaned out to the DPD, and assigned to a partner - the most robotic human he's ever met.
Struggling to get along at first, they learn to coexist, to cooperate, and, eventually, to fill the void in each other's lives.

“Sorry,” Hank muttered, trying not to lean on her too hard. “I owe you for this.”
“There’s no owing here.” Lucy lay a gentle hand on his shoulder and smiled. “We do what we can to help each other, and that’s enough.”
Hank plugged in an auxiliary cable and closed his eyes, head filled with softness and children, laugher and stories and second chances.

“Gavin, stand down!” Niles shouted, panting to catch his breath.
He’d just gotten the robot. Hadn’t even had it a full month, and he’d already broken the damn thing.
“Goddamnit, Gavin, stop! GV200, release him!” he shouted the direct order at the android who finally turned, surprised, like it was hearing him for the first time.

On paper, Lieutenant Connor Reika is successful; he's one of the youngest to reach his rank at the DPD, with a great solve rate. In reality, Connor is hanging by threads as he struggles against his past, surviving the day only through his (many) unhealthy coping mechanisms.
HK800 is new to the world, it's view of humans consisting only of insults and hatred. When it's assigned to investigate the recent surge in deviancy, it meets Connor, and learns there is more to humans than it thought.
As Connor and HK800 investigate, they grow close, and through their newfound relationship both learn what it is to live.

Summary
In an alternate Universe, Beth Anderson along with her father, Hank Anderson, were born as androids. While Connor was born as a human, and has a twin brother named, Richard, but who is nicknamed Nines.
Connor is a detective at the DPD, known for his sympathy towards androids, but his brother Nines, on the other hand, hates androids. Nines started hating androids after the death, of Cole, Connor's and his little brother.
Beth was a prototype Traci, the BA800, at the Eden Club, who was badly damaged, and deviated as a result, but she was repaired, and someone helped her to escape. Hank on the other hand, is the newest prototype for Cyberlife, the RK800, who is programmed to hunt deviants.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•Will Hank accomplish his mission, or will he become a deviant himself? Will he see past his mission, and realize that all androids, including himself, are alive, or will he stay the mindless machine, that he was supposedly programmed to be?
*This will have a lot more violence than "Just a Machine", as well as more possibly triggering scenes for people. I'll give warnings for chapters, even for things as simple as cussing.*

Summary
They’ve been at it for hours-- some malicious gift of a program, burrowing into Hank’s code, as he’d jerked back from an interface at their last crime scene, and running him hot, searing, as they’d driven back home. Until steam had started to puff with each breath the HK800 took, and the simulated flush of his skin had burned, red, up his neck. LED blaring in similar fashion.
-------------------------
HK800, designation Hank, contracts a virus while investigating a scene, and Connor helps him work it out.
Or off. Take your pick.

After the Android Revolution, everyone is still trying to adjust to the new way of the world. It's during this time that Richard 'Nines' Anderson is asked a personal favor from someone he can't say no to. This lands him with a partner he does not want and a lot more trouble than he ever thought he'd be stuck with.
As he adjusts to dealing with a hard headed Deviant, he must also try and balance the constant observation and interruptions from Elijah Kamski, who seems to have a very strange and possibly dangerous interest in his life, now.
