Contained within this collection is the current observed functions and attributes of each known Crest. This information is highly coveted, and has only recently been made public at the order of Lord Hevring himself.
Research collected at the Garreg Mach Monastery is carefully vetted through the Crest Research Program, and reviewed by the program's Principal Investigator, Hanneman von Essar, for any discrepancy or required updates to existing observations.

The man howls, and Yuri blinks at the dagger buried in the man's shoulder, at the ruby red beginning to show through his shirtsleeve.
"She said no. It's time for you to leave."
The source of the words is a boy, dressed all in black with a sword in his hand, a dagger in the other, and a grey wolf pup at his heels.
Yuri thinks he looks a little scary, or, well, that he probably looks scary to the man, anyway. To Yuri, he looks like his Mama's hero.At nine years old, Yuri meets a boy who teaches him how to throw knives.
At seventeen years old, Yuri sees that boy, now a man, from afar, and he wants.
At nineteen years old, Yuri is the leader of the Ashen Wolves, and the Ashen Demon and his wolf come to teach at Garreh Mach.
And no, Yuri did not name his House after Byleth's wolf, Spook. Of course not.

He just has no sense when it comes to you.” Felix casts a look at Byleth in his infirmary bed and turns back to Yuri, gesturing towards the bed pointedly with a well here’s the fucking evidence of that expression on his face. “Clearly.”
And then he's gone, leaving Yuri to come to terms with the fact that while delivered with cutting words and heavy disdain, Felix Hugo Fraldarius just gave him romantic advice and subtly endorsed the potential relationship he may have with Byleth if his feelings are returned.
“Well, fuck me.”
Or; Byleth’s miraculous Post-TS return wreaks havoc on Yuri’s feelings and he doesn’t handle it well. It takes Byleth getting hurt and Felix’s sharp tongue to shock him back to his senses.

Summary
Felix is smitten at first sight — not that he realises it, yet — with Krav Maga badass Byleth, and their friendship has the potential to become more following a drunk makeout at Byleth’s high school graduation party, but Felix’s insecurities cause him to lash out when Byleth reveals he’ll be pursuing music, not martial arts. They go their separate ways and Felix continues to pine over Byleth as he grows over the years until circumstances bring them back together and Felix ends up unwittingly attending Byleth’s band’s live performance at a bar.
Felix feels Byleth's absence from his life like a physical ache. There's always a sense of emptiness around him now, the feeling that something vital is missing, and he doesn't realise it's because something vital is missing until Byleth's been gone a year and Felix is drinking from a red plastic cup at Sylvain's graduation party that the something is the guy he's in love with.
