Now, dying on the sands of Valisthea, staring up at Metia, he had chosen the path Cid had put down. How to die, but others would now be able to choose Clive's path, choosing how to live. The Eikons, feeling that the death of Magic is at hand, know that in Clive's heart, there is the courage to do more, a wish to make things better for all, Humans and Eikons. As Joshua and Dion return to his side, to be there in his final moments, he's given a choice, let the curse take him, or choose his own path, to live. To go back and do it again, and maybe save a few lives in the process.

Drenched in disbelief and despair Sleipnir’s voice - though shaking as it was - cut through the silence - sharper than Odin’s blade could ever have.Instead of what used to be his steed - the pitch-black, six-legged horse of legends - was now a slender, young man, resting on top of the bed in the King’s chambers, with only some candles casting warm light into the room.
His dark mane had faded to silver, but his eyes were still of the same, eerie blue - a strange contrast to the otherwise warm, almost cozy atmosphere.
Carefully, yet distraught, Sleipnir tried to sit up and shift into a leaning position - visibly struggling to keep his balance and stopping mid motion to study those hands which had replaced his hooves.

Summary
In the evening, on his way back to the dorms, Beomgyu spots a yellow glowing orb on the entrance to a dark alleyway. Picking it up, he sees faint light coming from the ally and decides to go investigate. He goes deeper and deeper until a blue and green swirling portal floats in front of him, beckoning him towards it. As if controlled by some unknown force, his legs start to move him towards the portal, inspecting the portal with great curiosity. Beomgyu lifts his hand up to touch the odd mirage in front of him and sees his hand go in. Slightly panicked, he tries to pull his hand away but the orb he’s holding on to glows and pulls his other hand in, too. Caught in this awkward position, Beomgyu catches himself reflecting on his life choices and steps into the portal, praying to god for the first time in his short life.
TLDR; Beomgyu gets stuck in a portal (and ends up wooed by Dion Lesage on a fiend extermination mission.)

By accident, Dion overhears that purple wyverntails help Joshua sleep better at night. There's nothing Bahamut can do to heal the Phoenix and Joshua, nor help them endure and overcome the suffering Ultima's jail inflicts in his body. Yet if picking up the flowers is enough to help Joshua be ready for their siege to Origin, he will go into the field and find the greatest.
