Summary
Fizzarolli gave it more than a day. After all, with the amount of stuff Blitzø had left with, Fizz knew that he and Stolas would need a healthy sleeping in the next morning. Still, Fizz was too curious about how the night went to leave it too long. Blitzø had seemed oddly stressed for a man that was about to go have crazy kinky sex all night.
Of course, he hadn’t told Fizz anything about why. He didn’t take it personally. Blitzø had always been like that, even when he had been Blitzo, the young clown who Fizz had known all his life. He had never liked to talk about what was bothering him. Like it made something too real if he spoke it aloud. Of course, back when they were kids, Fizz always knew what it was Blitzø wasn’t talking about, because they were usually attached at the hip. Now though, Fizz could only guess.

Summary
The night that Fizzarolli died, there were no explosions, no fireworks or flashing lights, no dramatic scenes that would later be re-enacted for the stage or screen. Blitzø wasn’t able to put his finger on it but the eerily silent way that Fizz died would be one of the reasons he struggled with his friend’s death for so long after. If Fizz had gone out in a tragic stage accident, trampled by mis-timed go-go dancers or a falling piano, the news of his friend’s death wouldn’t have sounded so fucking bizarre. Hell! Blitzø would’ve believed that Fizz died in a comical kitchen accident. But to know, or maybe-know-but-struggle-to-believe, that the one-and-only-Fizzarolli died silently in his sleep, well Blitzø thought this was the bullshitiest bullshit the universe had ever shit out.
How does Blitzø live in a world without Fizz in it?

Then, three weeks, two days, and seven hours after he’d watched him be carried into the hospital on a stretcher (but who was counting), Blitzø flicked on the news and saw that Prince Stolas, of the Ars Goetia, had been discharged from the hospital and had retuned home.
Well shit. He’d blown that one.
He pulled out his phone to text Stolas, but he had no idea what to say at this point. He flicked it back off and set it aside. He looked up at the calendar on the wall. Two weeks until the full moon. If nothing else, he’d talk to him then.
Or
Blitz never made it to visit Stolas when he was in the hospital. At the next full moon, he's left trying to figure out how to make it up to him.

Kalim had never been attributed to being particularly observant. He was always the one with no thoughts in his head, always smiling. Innocent. Naive. Gullible.
It was seen in the way the ones with an intention of using him, he let get close. He’d let them steal from the many riches he’d been set over time.
And maybe people felt bad for him, in the way kicking a dog would be (‘pathetic’), but otherwise unimportant. Except the truth was, Kalim trusted none of them.
He understood from a young age that he was quite privileged, so it was only right to let them take and take, wasn’t it? Understood that not everyone was treated as nice as he’d been.
Kalim was overly aware of the world as an heir should be. Aware that so many things could go wrong. If he got hurt, it would be on Jamil’s head. If he made a fuss, accused someone of anything, that person would be blamed even if they were completely innocent. It was a lot of power.
..And the truth was, he wanted none of it. The thing he wanted wasn’t something he could achieve.

It’s not like most people he’s met have treated him any differently. He simply has a job, and a cushy one at that. Relaxing. Safe.
