It's tough when you're the only member of a new species. It's slightly less tough when you meet someone like you, so you're no longer alone as a half-ghost half-human. Maybe you and your new friend can help one another out in the world. Unfortunately for Danny and Homura, the universe is not that kind. Between ghost attacks, accustoming to the new parts of their biology, parents who are barely there and parents who aren't there at all, life isn't too easy.
Homura just wanted to live happily with the one person she loved more than life.
Danny just wanted a normal school year.
