Yang moved to step into the pub just as the man threw his opponent off himself and across the floor by the door. She stumbled and landed with both feet and one hand on the ground, skidding back into a table and causing two half-pints of beer to slosh over the side of the table onto the scrappy young fighter. With her recoiling from the liquid spill, the man took advantage of her distraction by stomping over to pick her up and slam her against the wall. He drank in the support of their fellow patrons, all drunkenly eager for excitement
“You should learn some manners,” he growled.
The girl squirmed and clawed at his hands, pure anger glaring from her heterochromic eyes. “And you should go harass someone else. I told you already; I don’t have what you’re looking for.”

A pure Catra x Double Trouble piece focusing on complex feelings, angst and comfort, and lots of hot sex.
Catra has been struggling more and more with nightmares as she has become increasingly isolated and mentally degraded. One night, screaming awake from yet another nightmare, Double Trouble is passing by and comes to check in on her. Scared, lonely, and hurting, Catra invites them into her room to keep her company for a while. From there, though, things turn more intense than either of them ever expected, both emotionally and physically.
This is set right before the collapse of the Fright Zone and the fulfillment of Double Trouble's betrayal, to make those events in canon all the more bitter after the shared joy, intimacy, and connection within this fic. I wrote this before finishing my Season 4 rewatch and realizing how little time there actually was between Double Trouble's return and everything's collapse, so the timeline is slightly divergent from canon in that there's about a day between their return to the Fright Zone and then the collapse of it.
Anyway, I live for making characters super happy just to make their suffering sting more (I'm sorry Catra and Double Trouble).

Catra turns back to see them steering wonkily, their motorbike driving in a zigzag despite its speed. A drunk biker who isn’t paying attention to the traffic lights.
It surges forward and straight past Catra and right towards Glimmer who’s still crossing.
Time suddenly slows for Catra and the first thing that comes to her mind is; what would Adora do?
Catra braces as she revs her engine, speeding onto the road and just fast enough to shove Glimmer off the path of the motorbiker. Catra has to swerve to avoid hitting a car. It’s too easy to lose balance.
Oh no.

After a stressful day involving getting fired and Adora contacting her, Catra takes her motorbike out for a ride to relieve her anger. When Catra sees Glimmer about to be run over, Catra narrowly saves her and ends up hospitalised as a result.
