Author's Note: I'm not including detailed play-by-play information about the tributes in the Hunger Games. While I'm also curious about each character's experience, I’m focusing more on their personalities and backstories before and after the games. I aim to explore how the Games and other factors like class differences and family issues affect them. I’ll include game scenes only if they enhance character development, but these will be limited. If we're solely entertained by these characters' times in the games, are we no better than the Capitol? And when she whispered, through blue cracked lips, to the District 6 boy, “I don’t know about you, but District 9 is looking pretty good,” she didn’t mean it literally. This is how she got there in the first place: huddled in with the Careers and a boy from District 6, for her intricate snares (useful for the careers) and her perceived lack of combat (even more useful).
