No sooner had Clive left the solar after committing to the cause did the day's events sink in. He disregards Cid’s orders to prepare for the upcoming mission. Too busy aiding those around the Hideaway and their allies without hesitation, upon meeting a familiar foe upon taking one too many hunts from Necktar. When he narrowly survives the battle and wakes up to find Cid, he knows he has much to answer for. Blinded, wounded and weak, the two begin the problematic task back through the marshlands. Faced with a slow recovery and a delayed attack on the mother crystal, but also their feelings towards each other.

As the legend says if two people are to find themselves under the thistleberry it builds goodluck to bring into the new year if the two people share a kiss. The more intimate a kiss the more goodluck builds and the better the next year will be for all in the household.
Everyone found under the plant must kiss, but how they kiss is up to them, the most expected is a quick peck to the cheek or hand, only doing more if they so choose.
