Jill couldn't help but to revel silently in the way that warmth of his spread through her, tempering her ice. She found herself in a similar internal struggle when she tried to convey how she felt the same abject wrongness in the lack of his company in her day to day life. And neither could she quite verbalize how even more acutely it sat with her, given the ordeal that preceded their separation.
She most certainly couldn't bring herself to admit that he was the one home she was entirely unwilling to lose. Ever.

Summary
***SPOILERS IN THE SUMMARY***
Clive lays dying on the beach, his life slipping away, when suddenly, he finds himself back in time, five years ago. He can't comprehend the divine intervention that sends him back, but overwhelming gratitude fills his heart. This is his second chance, and he is determined to make things right, to save as many lives as he can, especially the one person he has missed dearly for the past five years. With all the Eikon powers still within him, Clive embarks on this new journey, armed with the knowledge of what is to come and the determination to change the future for the better.
The man Cid finds in Nysa Defile is certainly everything the rumors have told, and more, surprisingly. Although his strange and touchy behaviors baffle him, he is grateful to have him join his cause nonetheless.

Summary
The Rosfield brothers have always been a defiance of fate. They knew it not, from Clive's coronation as Joshua's First Shield and the Phoenix brand placed upon his soul to the hidden existence of two Dominants of Fire, but the twin flames have always raged against what is set in stone and rejected every expectation.
So when Joshua falls, sacrificing the last of his power that Clive might rebuild Valisthea anew, Clive rebels.
This will not be their end.

Tasked with confirming and exterminating all goblins rumored to have settled in the Stillwind Marshes, he and his two companions are shocked to find only corpses. Dead a day at most, the beastmen have been killed by blade, fire, and levin. An unknown Shadow stalks them through the remnants of the village. An Unknown that has set its sights on the Lord Marquess, eldest son of the Archduke of Rosaria, brother to the Phoenix Eikon and its Dominant. A Shadow that knows the young lord's value to not only the Grand Duchy of Rosaria, but to other parties yet unnamed.
A Shadow that will see the young lord used to change the players of the game before it begins and alter the fate of Valisthea.

In annual midsummer do the three great nations of Storm hold the Triunity Faire, a festival of merriment and mummery, of fledgling nobles in intimate step of both ballroom dance and tourney wrought steel. For the first since war's end with Rosaria, the North has been invited back into the fold, tasked with hosting their stately southern neighbors in lands yet caught by wintry chill.
The true purpose of the Faire has long been for the High Houses to court potential matches for their sons and daughters, and for Jill, Princess of the North, and Clive, Lord Marquess of Rosaria, this means enduring myriad attempted betrothals. Both dread attending and firmly believe that falling in love is an impossibility.

Long ago, Clive and Jill had a wonderful Solstice Eve together, and promised they'd find a way to do it again.
Nineteen years later, Clive finally has a chance to keep that promise -- until he gets dangerously ill right before the holiday.
