EDIT (Sept, 2nd 2024, 12:04am CDT - UTC -5); Just to clarify, the “graphic abuse” here is PG enough to be the ACTUAL fourth movie in the Trolls movie franchise. It’s so mild that I was struggling with how to tag it.
In the shadowy corridors of Mount Rageous Women’s Prison For Runts; MRWPFR (also know as the ‘Mr. Woopfer’), Floyd and Crimp navigate through a mess of tension and fear.
As they step into the visitation room, they find Veneer alone, his eyes darting to the clock with a nervous rhythm.
The absence of Velvet, combined with the palpable anxiety in Veneer’s demeanor, hints at something too dangerous to speak aloud.
Especially if the constant hovering of the male CO’s was anything to go by.
Under the scrutinizing gaze of the prisons guards, they exchange forced smiles and hollow reassurances.
Floyd can sense the… wrongness he picks up on, it’s turning up his hair roots. Crimp unease dwells deep into her soul, if her coloring switching to ‘full on camouflage mode’ was anything to go by.
Floyd and Crimp both feel the weight of unspoken truths lingering, hinting at a deeper darkness within the cold and sterile walls, floating through the air; something isn’t right.

Some people just have a hard time seeing the good in things. Some people have others to keep them afloat, to help them see the brighter side of things. But some don't. Some wallow in the dark for far too long, and no one seems to notice until it's almost too late; or in some cases, it is too late.
Creek never had any true negative feelings towards the village's grey troll. He knows Branch is a good soul with a good heart. He's seen Branch interact with a few select Trolls (Ablaze, Hype, Boom, Trickee) and actually smile, actually laugh, and actually seemed more relaxed. That's all he wants, to see Branch be more positive. But whenever he tries, Branch always seems to be more tense. Why does he seem more happy with certain people, yet Creek basically gets the cold shoulder? Maybe a trip to the Neverglades can bring some secrets to light? Maybe a near death experience can bring the two closer?

That changes when an angel crashes into the woods. She brings magic from another land, giving some to the grey troll.
Dawn raises him, teaches him, cares for him. Yet, as with all good things in Branch's life, she too must leave into a deep sleep.
Branch must make it to adulthood without Dawn guiding him, her flickering light lying in wait for the day she grows enough strength to return.
