“You were looking for… spiders,” Reeve had repeated, sizing up the self-proclaimed fourteen-year-old (he looked like he was twelve) with a look of comical bafflement.
Strife nodded, his back straight and a picture of proper decorum. “Sephiroth asked me to. Sir.”

“Hrmph. Probably just a bird,” Barret grumbled, but didn't move.
OR
Cloud is a literal baby chocobo who gets adopted by Marlene (and her dad), and goes on to live in Barret's hair and angrily PECC things he finds offensive. He is very fierce. Do not test him, and do not touch his Marlene (or his Barret).

The Royal Family—Noctis’ family, were descendants of the Gods, put on Eos to enforce the will of said Gods and ensure the prosperity of their people. In return for the peace and protection their kingdom provided, the people didn’t merely respect those of royal blood, they worshiped the divinity and magic contained within it. A tradition that transcended fealty to one’s sovereign into the realm of religious fervor, dictated that only those blessed by someone in touch with the Gods, should be allowed to look upon the descendants of the Gods.
Any and all others were to take the knee in the presence of anyone containing so much as a speck of royal blood and to never, ever look up.
