Wild half-human beasts are found dead on the roads between with arrow-split eyes and hearts. Drifters and walkers blow through towns, and a quiver on a man's back will earn silence from shrewd hard-bitten scavengers as people move to give space.
There are those who wear bows and arrows not because they have the skill, but because it is a safer ward against humans than any other.

Written for the prompt: Early in their partnership, Clint is stuck on a job in Malaysia, Laura and Cooper are home with the flu, that leaves Natasha alone to go to Lila's dance recital. She just has to show up, right?

“Umm… tall buildings tend to be my thing, but same principle, right?”
“This ain’t no adrenaline-junkie spring vacation you’re takin’ on. This is a dangerous mountain that takes no prisoners. The chance ah ya walkin’ away with just an injury is slim. The chance ah ya walkin’ away at all…”
Yelena’s eyes bored holes into Rocket, the niceties lost. Her expression a stone mask.
“My sister is worth every risk. She’s worth it every time…”
