During a field trip to a traveling historical exhibition, Momo, Okarun, and their classmates are attacked by a strange Yokai- in the sense that everyone can see her, and she emerged from a glowing green portal she tore open herself with a glowing katana.To make matters worse, when she tries to escape with a hostage, Momo and Okarun are dragged into the portal and find themselves in an alarmingly green void filled with floating purple doors and rocks. Now not only do they still need to find the Yokai, they also need to find a way back to Kamigoe City.
Maybe a certain white haired boy with ghost powers (sounds familiar) can help.
And speaking of- what’s going on with Okarun...?

It’s 49 hours in when she meets the spirit for the first time and she feels like maybe its arrival should have been heralded with war drums or screeching violins, but instead all she gets is a second of alarm on Jin’s face as she leans in to stroke his cheek (forgetting that her hand is wet with condensation dripping from her glass of ice water) and that sweet face goes from alarm to a wary stare, so she says the first thing that comes to mind, which is ‘hello there, sweetie, what’s your name?’
‘Evil Eye,’ it says, and then it asks for juice.

Momo in the foreground, holding something up in front of her face, Ken in the background, face turned away and buried in his hands, the blush on his ears like a red beacon in a storm. The caption from Momo, as well, is innocuous by nature:

Aira is determined, Ken is confused, and Jiji and Momo are just along for the ride.
