Summary
When a vicious vampire in California is destroyed by an occultist, Nicholas Blair is sent to clear the vampire's house of any occult objects before anyone else can find them. He finds the vampire's servant, apparently cured of her vampirism. He sends her off to Maine to seek Barnabas Collins and Julia Hoffman the only ones that might be able to help her adjust to her new humanity, while he tries to discover not only the secret of her sudden cure, but also the secret behind a long hidden crime.
