His roomie was wearing a white shirt, the sleeves twisted strangely, decorated with buttons and straps. It took several more blinks to realize that’s because it was a straitjacket.

    That is never a good sign.

    Peter jumped to his feet, almost threw up, and plastered himself to the wall, slowly easing down into a crouch. But the man only cocked his head to the side, hairless eyebrows quirking. When Peter inhaled, the stench of pain made his nose sting and his eyes water, overwhelming in its magnitude. The man’s eyes are hard and angry when they meet Peters’.

    “And who are you supposed to be? They actually giving me roommates again? Nice try, Francie!” this the man yelled at the door, “but I’m not buying it! Give im’ to someone else.”

    Peter just starts tucking away bills, getting ready to get dressed and leave, before one of the bouncers comes bounding around the corner, careening into the dressing room.

    "Hey, Pete? Some guy is here willing to pay big bucks for a private dance. I know you don't do 'em but it's like a thousand bucks."

    Peter's eyes go a bit wide. He tucks his money away in his backpack, adjusting his clothes before ultimately making a decision. A thousand bucks is a lot of money. And well, he has a college debt to pay off.

Weeks passed, his stomach growing louder — the sensation becoming more intense and familiar, the longer he went without an actual meal.

    He'd been surviving off three loaves of bread the bakery tossed because they weren't “aesthetically pleasing.” If he was honest, the lumpy bread did look a little unappetizing — but it did the job. Until it didn’t.

    Now he was stuck digging through moldy cheese, days-old pizza, and rats that kept nibbling on his fingers.

      No começo eu gostei bastante, tem todas as coisas boas que gosto em fics (morador de rua, passa fome e dificuldades, muito angst e, pelo oq eu entendi, algum começo de distúrbio alimentar. E então chega um homem fortão e ajuda essa pobre alma).

      Mas, na minha cabeça, não há universo alternativo onde Wade vire para o cara bonito morador de rua e fale: “vou pagar sua comida, te dar uma cama e afeto, mas você vai ter que se submeter a mim”.

      Grande red flag. Estava indo tão bem! Pq ele teve que fazer isso!?
