It was sweet, the way Crowley would be too abashed to ask for what she wanted from Aziraphale; sweet, but an annoyance too, when Crowley would dance around it, acting bratty and trying to goad Aziraphale. It was so obvious what she actually wanted, but Aziraphale wanted her to say it, to hear it from Crowley’s own clever mouth. They could now, after all, the two of them could now ask each other whatever they wanted, so why shouldn’t Aziraphale want it from Crowley?

“You did so very well for me, Crowley,” Aziraphale says, kissing the top of his head. “I’m endlessly proud of you.”
He squirms, burying his face in Aziraphale’s chest as his cheeks flush with warmth. He brings his whole body closer to Aziraphale’s softness, wrapping limbs around him like vines seeking sunlight.
“Anything for you,” he says as if it explains everything he is willing to do, willing to be for Aziraphale. “You know that.”
“I do know,” Aziraphale says simply before dropping another kiss into Crowley’s hair. “We belong to each other.”
Crowley snorts a half-hearted laugh, his mind already planning eight different sarcastic quips to make at their expense. He waits, knowing that whatever thought has struck Aziraphale will be revealed soon enough. His patience is rewarded less than two minutes later.
“Love, would you let me see your halo?”
