“He loves you.” Ekko stated, almost gently. Ironically, the affirmation left a bitter taste in Powder's mouth, as if she swallowed one of Vander's homemade medicines. “He loved here. And being close to you showed him everything he forgot. Everything he lost. And how he could face you again when returning home.”
The feeling of everything being on hold was something that Powder was already familiar with when it came to Ekko. Always waiting for him to come to his senses during one of his episodes. But this time is different, leaving him on Benzo's doorstep after all the chaos now seemed like the worst thing she could have done. Vi is faced with a crisis when Vander is ready to sacrifice his bar, The Last Drop, to raise the money for her siblings' tuition to the Piltover Institute of Fine Arts by selling it to Cassandra Kiramman: the owner of the Kiramman Mines where her parents were killed twelve years prior in a tragic cave-in. However, she is presented with a timely opportunity to get close enough to Cassandra through the Piltover Symphony Orchestra for which Cassandra is on the Board of Directors. In the meantime, Cassandra's daughter, Caitlyn Kiramman, has been drifting through life in general ennui after Cassandra forbade Grayson from enlisting her into the Enforcers when she returned from her service with the Ionian Military. The only thing that has given her any purpose is her violin and her role as the Kiramman Group's Head of Product Development and Testing. But when Vi enters the picture, her boring, predictable life becomes anything but.
