The plan was simple. Get in. Get a crystal a desperate company wanted. Get out. Start a new with your little sister. But it's never as easy as they make it seem, is it? Little did you know, that company would be your demise, your repeated demise. Dying over and over again, only to send you back down to the deepest part of hell, filled with creatures and nightmares that would make H.P. Lovecraft thrilled. It doesn't help that your only 'allies' are two creatures who also don't seem thrilled with you around. But you have to survive, you must. It seems like your allies are also trapped down here, just like you. Maybe, all three of you can escape this hell together, but that means befriending them first, if you even can.

Perhaps it was bloodlust mixing with regular lust that drove him. Perhaps he'd simply spent too long down here broken and alone.

Summary
Urbanshade is an organization characterized by ruthless profiteers, motivated primarily by money, no matter the cost in human life. Casualties are merely lost profits, and torture is simply... experimental investments. As such, the corporation guiltlessly snatches up the vulnerable and desperate who have been left to rot in cells or in line for death row.
What happens when the latest bit of turret fodder lacks a will to live, lacks a loyalty to the company, and lacks a desire for freedom? What happens when the latest expendable has no intention of retrieving the crystal?
What happens when, despite these things, they volunteer to enter the Hadal Blacksite anyways?
Then, they'd require a new purpose. One that they just may find in a world of fellow corpses.

I work when I want to, expect updates to be slow and chapters to be a bit sloppy when first uploaded as I write usually in bed/at night.!!!!NOTICE!!!!

Your little sister, Aurora, meant everything to you. Her innocence, her smile, her laughter. You wanted to protect these things about her, to keep her safe like you wish someone would have done for you. You found yourself learning to regress around her, the newfound coping mechanism becoming a part of your average life. You loved her so dearly, she was the all for you to hold onto.
When you found out someone hurt her.. well.. that's how you ended up here, in the Hadal Blacksite, serving as one of the many Expendables for Urbanshade under a single demand, seeking the same reward. Retrieve the Crystal, and you're free. All of your crimes, pardoned, six figures in compensation. Too tempting to refuse.
However, unlike the rest of the expendables who were allowed to embrace death with open arms, you were granted the gift, be it from the mercy of a God or a curse from the Devil, you are forced back to life, to dive back into the depths of the Blacksite for the same mission, no matter how many times you died. You had no one to turn to, no one to protect you, to make you feel safe. You never did, but especially not down here. With a heavy heart and a barely adult mind, who would save you now?
