Sure, sometimes he smiles and his teeth gleam a little strangely in the light. Sometimes Tommy thinks in a voice that’s not his own, I never, ever want to leave, and then he blinks, the feeling of Techno’s hand carding through his hair a warm and solid presence.
Techno is gentle in a way no one else has been with Tommy in a long, long time.~~~~~~~~~~

Tommy’s hands trembled as he reached the vase on the counter, immediately pushing it aside. The glass rattled against the surface, threatening to fall, but Tommy ignored it. His eyes were glued to the small folded letter underneath. With a deep breath, he opened the letter, hoping for the best but as he started to read the first few lines, but as he continued, all the last slivers of hope he had in him evaporated.
He allowed the letter to slip out of his hand, fluttering in the air before gently falling to the ground beside the blonde’s feet.

Summary
Tommy was an orphan. His parents skedaddled away when he was ten after nearly getting caught by the police. They were in a gang, he found out later.
Tommy didn't like the orphanage, nobody wanted the loud, annoying sixteen year old. Even when he was still ten. He was too loud, abrasive, annoying, etc. He loved the forest, though. It didn't hurt him, it didn't judge him.
(i take requests (more info in my oneshot book), this isn't about the ccs, but the characters! comments and kudos greatly appreciated!!)

Summary
Tommy had grown used to his servitude over time. He might have even said he's grown fond of his "Masters.” Who, of course, showed him their faults.
Phil had a tendency to ignore some of the bruises he received from some of the other servants. Tommy supposed it was only natural he was still only a servant but one couldn't blame him for being a little hurt considering the man would also sometimes invite him to family dinners or just invite him to sit with him in his study on more quiet evenings.
Techno was more attentive to Tommy's injuries. Ironically, however, he would add some of his own after inviting Tommy to “lightly” spar with him. Other times he would read to Tommy in the library if he'd found a book he was excited to share. Sometimes Tommy suspected that maybe Techno was fond of him because of his hair and eye color, but he had to admit he didn't mind the attention.
And Wilbur.
Wilbur was affectionate and doting and sweet and attentive.
Wilbur was Tommy’s favorite of the three. Almost begrudgingly so.
Wilbur had a tendency to pull pranks.

He sulked around the meadow, searching with no luck and holding back panic at the thought of what he was going to have to do. How long did he have to get out of the forest before the fae noticed he took a mushroom? Would he even be able to or were they protected by magic? Would touching even the mushrooms that made the perimeter bind him to the fae the same way stepping into the circle would?
“You’re thinkin’ awfully hard over there, little one.”
Or: Tommy has been disowned by his parents and hated by pretty much everyone he knows…that is, until he meets a strange man in the forest.

Summary
Tommy hadn’t always liked being small. Not just (though he’d never admit it) short, but thin as well. Yet, he’d always understood why. It just made sense- it was so he could fit through small places like his bedroom window, it was so he could get to perches a normal human could never, it was so he could be light. It was for the same reason he was wearing a ratty t-shirt with a messily cut open back.
It was necessary for moments like these, because he could finally be free.Or: Tommy has is......not human. Somehow no one has found out yet. He's also an orphan, best friends with tubbo, in the foster system, goes over to dream's house occasionally, and has an annoyingly persistent faerie that has seemed to take quite the interest in him.
Or or: the author took all their favorite tropes and made a story out of it.

Summary
Names have power. To fae, names are your whole being, your life. Should a fae learn your name, they own you, they control you. The poor soul would be dragged away to the fae realm, to some horrible fate that no one will ever know all for speaking one trivial word.
They were taught the rules so should they encounter a faerie, they would have some small chance to escape with their lives and debt-free.
Of course, the best way to deal with a fae encounter is to not have one. Never go into the forest, never meet a fae, never risk your life.
Unfortunately, Wilbur didn’t have that luxury.

A little lure.
Practically everyone tells him never to take it off and Tommy is very tempted to see what would happen if he did. It would probably be more exciting than his parents’ party. But a quiet part of him knows that the little red cord around his wrist is meant to deter rather than attract the attention of people who have more magic in their blood than him and his mother. Beings that are made of magic and ether, live and breathe time like it is nothing.
Those beings are Fae.
They can’t lie. They can’t tell you that the sky is purple, and the moon is made of cheese. But they can talk to you in circles and tell you things that taste like spun sugar on your tongue. They can trick you and see you as a possession so they take you.
Tommy’s not a possession, he’s a boy of ten. So he wears the red cord.
