Summary
In my dreams my sons wander at length, lost in pathless woods, ancient, sunless and foreboding. In the waking world, Maedhros breathes and moves before me, but is rarely truly there. I see the dream-wraith Maedhros superimposed over my living son, and am sure he never found a path out of that desolate place. The whispers in my dreams insist he never will.
When Maedhros returns from Mandos, re-connecting does not prove easy. Nerdanel is determined to care for her son and finds that she must confront grief along the way.

Summary
“Promise me something, beloved.”
This, the only time he allows fear to break through before the battle, catches my attention. I extend my neck to see creases of care in the corners of his mouth. “Mm? What is it?”
“Promise me you will find your place in the world to come, beyond tomorrow,” he lowers his voice to a whisper, “whether I am by your side or not.”Amid the devastation of Nírnaeth Arnoediad Fingon reaches out to Maedhros with one last command: 'you must not follow me', and Maedhros remembers the last sweet hours they spent together before the battle.
Written for Scribbles & Drabbles 2025 Art Prompt #51: And his banners they trod into the mire of his blood by Fiamma Galathon. You can find the artwork here.

Fingon was a prince of the Noldor, his father’s heir. He liked to think he had a most excellent education, and a good grasp of the language he spoke, be it Sindarin or Quenya.
And yet, words escaped him as he observed the land in front of him.

Summary
Never have I ever written an ABO story, until now.
The usual suspects in a different setting but still having family dynamics from hell and so many grievances. Also, everybody is even younger and more confused than the last time. It is still Arda in spirit and custom but geographically it is more like Earthsea.
Like I feared, this turned out to be a somewhat epic endeavor, with a bunch of children craving attention, mysteries, agricultural problems, battles of different kinds, dreams, omens and portents, Dwarrow, fertility rituals, good and evil Valar and me being unexpectedly lenient towards Kings Thingol and Ingwë. And of course there are dragons, too.
There probably should be more sex, and less meetings, but there is a war to be waged and people to be saved, so busy parents have to take what they can get.
So, Prince Fëanáro is returning to the Isle of Tirion from a bout of island hopping....

Summary
“Come on.” Maedhros grabbed his hand and pulled him along down the path, both of them quickening their pace now, until the trees opened up into a wide meadow filled with flowers, bright yellow celandine and dandelions and sweet-scented pale chamomile mingling with cornflowers and irises. On the other side of it was a larger party than Maglor had ever seen in Lórien—five figures sitting in the grass. Huan barked again, and they all looked up. “It seems everyone has come to fetch us home,” Maedhros said, laughing, as all their brothers scrambled to their feet.
After years in Lórien, Maglor and Maedhros are ready to return to their family and to make something new with their lives--but to move forward, all of Fëanor's sons must decide how, or if, they can ever reconcile with their father.

The day was grey, but not bad at all for a day of March in North Beleriand.
Himring was a perpetually cold city, it earned its name fairly, and yet the city was well loved by its inhabitants.
Next to Himring, stood the Himlad national park, mountain, forests, and protected wildlife. That attracted a lot of tourist in the summer season. -

Summary
Elenwe? Dream Turgon gasped. She was not fading away. Her spirit remained in his arms, warm, white and glowing.
The sound of early morning birdsong filled the air. Turgon became aware of the pillow underneath his head, and the blankets covering him. And there was the familiar figure of his wife, lying next to him; a disapproving look on her face.
“Turgon!” Elenwe said, her voice distant and echoing, but unmistakably there. “The first thing we are doing after breakfast, is going out mattress shopping!”Turgon awakens one morning to find the spirit of Elenwe has returned to him. How delightful!
But other relatives have turned up in spirit form too. Turgon realises that he must find new bodies for them. All the while keeping them hidden from Mandos and keeping them out of trouble. But he is Turgon, King of Gondolin, so he can handle that, right?

Summary
Pull up your pants, everyone, we're here. We're doing this. We're in Beleriand, in the First Age, before the War of Wrath.
Tolkien wrote a masterful tragedy of doom and fate and striving against all hope, because hope still springs eternal even when it seems lost.
But, consider; what if doom can be overturned, and maybe those of the Noldor who fought so hard for so long against the most terrible of foes find something other than ruin and woe.Series
