He has to balance his life between a civilian and as a hero delicately, because the government is always on the lookout for anyone with alterations - and he can’t let that happen to him.
Things start to change when a new masked Alter enters the scene, leaving bodies in her wake for what she claims is for the safety of all Omegas. The future of the city is uncertain, but Jacob isn't alone - he has a pack of Cards by his side.

With all the little chirps and coos and trills coming out of her, it’s almost like she’s purring — and, well, as she leans in and feels a low rumbling in his chest, it seems he’s definitely purring.
It’s enough for her to just… let go for a second. Let the stress melt away, and… let the fuzziness take over.
It’s like she’s melting, a little. Her head goes all hazy. Jaiden has to remind herself to breathe, the fog making it hard to think about anything.
And suddenly, it sets in, and… she’s tired.
