Adrien Agreste wants to go to college away from Paris to explore the world (and to get away from his father). He's wants to try to get a degree in literature. He does get to go to the United States for college, but his father is still trying to control him with a too long and strict set of rules he has to follow. It's especially annoying that it's clear his father doesn't trust him, even though he doesn't really have a reason not to. He always agreed to practices and photoshoots and whatnot.
So, should he prove him right? Well, maybe eventually, but not yet. After all, he has a flight to catch.

In the chaos of Hawkmoth’s defeat Lila got away with the butterfly miraculous. The team has been trying to find her for four years with no luck when she finally resurfaces, releasing akuma once more into a Paris finally beginning to heal from the terror of Hawkmoth. Between finals and disastrous proposal attempts the team has to deal with akumas and increasing claims that range from Ladybug being incompetent to something more sinister. While investigating and combating articles, Alya finds traces of something bigger than just Lila behind the butterfly’s return.

Adrien would have never of guessed that some time in his life he'd take up being a male stripper using his alter ego as his strippers disguise as well. The only reason why he was stripping was due to his kwami (who should have never of watched Magic Mike) making a bet with Adrien, but his deal had been made, and once Plagg was proven right Adrien fulfill Plagg's request.
However, Adrien never expected to enjoy it so much, with the amount of money that came with it (not like he needed it) and the confidence and praises he got with it for his along with the interesting people he had met, he'd really started enjoying it, until he had to give Marinette (who he recently discovered as Ladybug) a lap dance.
From there, things start change very quickly.
