Interpersonal matters have never been his strong suit; there’s a brashness to himself that he can’t quite shake. He attributes it to the dog-eat-dog world of growing up the youngest of eleven. He’s struggled to get past the acquaintance stage with any of the men in his cohort and it should worry him, but in all truth, he likes his solitude. Having time and space of his own is still a novelty even four years post leaving his childhood home. The majority of his free time is spent reading and listening to the silence around him.

Goffredo Tedesco, or rather: Father Goffredo Tedesco is a priest, lifelong dream of his.
But not everything is a bed of roses for him, as he approaches the middle age, he gets a new temptation: Forming a family.
It first starts as a dream, a faraway fantasy during his lonely sinful nights. A house of his own, a warm chimney, children running around and playing, and a wife.
A fruitful, Proverbs 31 woman, submissive, silent, who wears ankle-length skirts, knowledgeable in the word of the Lord and ready to appease her husband any moment, never talking back and nodding silently, the kind of woman his mother was, and her mother before her.
That is when he meets Maranata, he meets her at a Doctorate-level research he was invited to.
Maranata, with her long hair, long skirts, makes pasta from scratch, read the Bible forward and Backwards.
But also a woman of world, someone who studies, prepares and bites back, a woman that does not stand for injustice and won't take disrespect.
What will be more important? His clergical vows or his ideals of the perfect woman?

Summary
The farmer may treasure his fattest calf, all plump on its rump and with the sweetest mewling. The farmer may pet it, soothe it, bring it into his arm in a gentle, paternal embrace—until the calf forgets itself, believing itself to be a man, a son. Yet no amount of pretence lasts forevermore.
Eventually, the son will return. Not even a prodigal one, but the true protégé.
When he does, the farmer will once more stroke the underbelly of the calf with worn, gentle hands before leading it to the butcher’s knife. A slaughter to celebrate the return of his son.
Aldo looks upon his butcher.
Tedesco gazes back.(Following the end of the conclave, Tedesco reveals his knowledge of Aldo’s secret to him. Aldo finds himself to be a docile beast led to the butcher’s hand.)
