Voltron receives a notice about an old abandoned research base containing important intel and hidden Galran experiments, leading to where they are currently trapped together in a damaged red lion who refuses to open the doors while they recover. They are forced to finally talk about their feelings and escape this dire situation. SOMEHOW, launch a recuse mission and NOT make this super awkward in the meantime... Yup... lance was screwed.

Although, to his satisfaction, he swallowed any stupid comments or sounds. Except one-
"You look like a chipmunk." Lance laughed, ruffling Keith's hair before disappearing out of the door and into the hallway.
"Hey!" He shouted, tripping over his own feet as he scrambled upwards. The door clicked shut softly.
From either side of the door, each boy had a moment of clarity, a soft smile adorned their face.
Maybe this situation isn't that horrible.

Summary

Blushing down to the roots of his hair, Keith muttered, “I just named them Squishy for now.”
“Squishy,” Lance deadpanned, taking in Keith’s adorably red face with amusement. “You named the child Squishy?”
“What would you name a random child you found surrounded by dead bodies with light up crystals on their head!?”
Resisting the urge to give Keith a break, Lance muttered, “I don’t know, Lance?”
“I’m not naming a random baby after you, Lance.”

His grip loosened and Lance couldn’t help as he collapsed in front of the complete stranger, the man who didn’t deserve to have Kather’s face. Holding a hand to his mouth to muffle his sobs Allura pulls him into a hug and whispers comforts that don’t reach him. Not really knowing that all his efforts didn’t save anyone, not even Kather.

When Pidge discovers a potential high-value target in Sendak’s memories, called Kral-Ax, they decide to head down onto the surface of the moon it’s located on to investigate. The only problem is, Kral-Ax carries more than what they’re searching for.

Summary
The team was all led to a tent, and lance lifted a sheet from on top of a crib. He saw a tiny purple child, laying there, wailing rather loudly. Well, more like an infant, as this one was extremely small, and almost could be classified as newborn by appearance alone. Lance was no stranger to crying babies, even if this one was lilac and furry, and his uncle instincts kicked in, scooping up the child.
“Lance- what are you doing?!” Keith exclaimed, rather panicked at the sight of some living thing being so small and fragile.
~~~~~~In other words, the team finds a baby that is particularly attached to Keith due to Galra heritage, and Lance is the only other person on the castle lions that has experience with babies. Through caring for the child, they discover more about themselves, and each other.

Lance is happy for the new coalition—of course he is, it saves his people and his kingdom from further heartache and pain against the Galra Empire and all of the embers of its death still remaining—and he’s proud of his father for what he’s accomplished in uniting the struggling planets and sectors against their common enemy, but he hasn’t been able to tame his still-simmering bitterness at his being barred from the negotiation table.
“I know I’m getting married, Hunk.” He lets slip. Hunk’s shuffling stops, and that’s enough of a tell.

Prince Lance has always known his role to the kingdom will involve lengthy political negotiations unless a genuine tragedy should put him first in line, but it's hard to stomach an impending arranged marriage in any scenario. Especially in the scenario where Lance actually ends up engaged to the Marmoran Prince he'd spent the night admiring, and neither are made aware of it quite in time.

Lance has a condition: his wings are slowly turning white, losing their beautiful pigmentation. In a world where this is considered ugly and dirty, he struggles with his self-esteem and inner feelings.
