Summary
Things just aren't going right for Lance. Shiro's gone, might even be dead, and Blue isn't his lion anymore—not that there's anything wrong with Kitty Rose—but just when things seem like they can't get worse, the universe decides to prove him wrong. He's left asking himself, "am I really meant to be a paladin of Voltron?"

When team Voltron got back to earth, Lance didn’t know what to expect. He had been dreaming of this day, of seeing his family again after seven long years lightyears away saving the universe. At some point, when Sam Holt got back to prepare earth for the worst, the entire world knew about Voltron and what the five missing cadets and pilots of the Garisson were doing.
Lance was probably the one yearning the most for home when they were up in space. But after some time, he realized that he mostly missed the familiarity of what he grew up with. Of course, he missed his family, and all that earth had to offer but nothing could beat spending everyday saving people with had become his best friends, his family of choice. Along the way he gained two badass sisters (Pidge and Allura), a weird uncle (Coran), two overprotective brothers (Shiro and Hunk), And a husband. Keith. That one he didn’t see coming.*
Or, where Lance isn't only the comedic relief but is actually a pretty damn good leader, friend, and husband. As much as he misses his family, he is first and foremost a Paladin of Voltron that his teammates would do anything for.you can pry badass/Black Paladin Lance from my cold dead hands.

Keith and Lance knew each other like before before.
Krolia went back to the blades but only to inform them and have a special ship just so Krolia and her pack, Kolivan, Ulaz, Thace and Antok can visit their kit whenever, but when Keith's Galra features were showing they all decided that Keith shouldn't stay on Earth. But Keith still visits of course, his father and his 'friend' Lance are his only reasons.
But when Shiro crash landed on Earth, Lance found himself saving him and taking him and his gang to Keith's dad, Akira. That's when Akira and Lance decide to take a trip to the blue lion. And now Lance is in space when Keith specifically said to stay on earth to take care of the blue lion, not pilot it. And when the paladins find the Blades, some secrets of Lance is revield to his team, but also a lot of secrets Keith has kept hidden from his pack. Galras are an all male species in my AU. -

Seven years ago, Lance went missing. The Garrison informs them of this a week after his disappearance. Under the guise of military confidentiality, they're given hardly any details about the event. All they know is that Lance had snuck out one night, got into a fight with some personnel dealing with some top secret mission, and then promptly vanished.
Just like that, seven years pass. Lance turns eighteen, then nineteen, then twenty, and then they stop counting. At twenty four, he comes home.
Or: Seven years after leaving Earth, Lance comes home, but there's a part of him still left in space.

Allura’s off with Lotor, Shiro’s been keeping busy on his own and Hunk and Pidge are wrapped up in this whole “Team Punk” concept that has them holed up for hours in the lab. So when he’s invited to accompany the two geniuses on a resource gathering mission he couldn’t be happier and plans to make the best of it.
And then everything goes wrong.
They’re trapped, injured, and if blood loss doesn’t get Lance first then suffocation definitely will. They need a plan but Hunk is down for the count and Lance knows he’s no good for coming up with something of that caliber. But his team needs him and he’s got to think of something. Otherwise… this cave is about to become a tomb.

After a fatal car accident Lance and his mother moved to the Kogane household to live and work. Both mothers warning their sons to stay away from the other but curiosity won. After all the last time Keith saw Lance he wasn't even sure if he was breathing.
Despite the rocky part of their friendship the pair bloomed together but soon Lance's 18th birthday approaches and the Kogane kids realize there is more to the contract then they realized.
Shiro does his best to get them out of the contract, Keith is desperate to give Lance the options he didn't realize he had, but Lance had made his decision well in advance.
So Keith does his best to change his mind

She hummed and nodded, whispering against his hair that tickled his forehead. "Yes, kotyonok... We're home..." She brushed his back with her warm hand and he sighed.
"Okay..." He responded quietly and she kissed his head.
