On a lazy afternoon, Aziraphale thinks too hard about their first kiss. One thing leads to another, Aziraphale is crying in Crowley's arms while being offered the one thing he's desired since the morning he left for Heaven.

Aber Aziraphale durchschaut das noch nicht ganz. Außerdem ist er sich sicher, dass er etwas Wichtiges vergessen hat. Aber was war es noch mal? Und dann haben wir noch Crowley, einen arbeitslosen Dämon. Zuständig für...nichts. Aber irgendetwas ist faul. Er spürt es, er kann nur noch nicht sagen, was es ist. Vielleicht ist es die Dürre, die das Land plagt? Oder vielleicht ist es die Tatsache, dass er seine Kräfte verliert? Vielleicht ist es aber auch die große schwarze Wolke, die bald den ganzen Himmel bedecken wird? Crowley ist sich noch nicht ganz sicher. Aber über eine Sache ist er sich vollkommen im Klaren. Er ist nicht einsam, er ist nicht verloren, und auf keinen Fall vermisst er Azir... den Eng... diesen verräterischen Bastard. Crowley made it so hard, sometimes, to be an Angel. He challenged every notion and belief Aziraphale had, but he was so nice despite how much he complained about it, and he always came to Aziraphale’s rescue, and everything he did was just so good. So even though Aziraphale knows he really should be finding the Metatron and going back to Heaven, he was still here, kissing Crowley in his bookshop.
But maybe he doesn’t have to go back to Heaven for things to be good, and maybe Crowley can do what he does best. Be good.
(Crowley kisses Aziraphale and Aziraphale kisses Crowley. maybe it’ll finally allow them to talk. and maybe it’ll be enough.)
