Summary
Leaning against white pillows set high, with an IV bag, his father stared at him long and hard. Conrad had come closer, ready to check on him, when he finally noticed they were not alone.
The man standing by the corner of the small room seemed to be checking something on a tablet. If there was really something important there or he was just giving Conrad and his dad the illusion of privacy, Conrad couldn't tell. He just noticed the stethoscope, the white coat and a henna tattoo around the man’s neck.
“You didn't have to run.” Marshall was speaking without breaking eye contact with him. “Nic was kind enough to ask for a… nurse to check me.”
He heard the man next to them sigh loudly. He was clearly a doctor, not a nurse, but Conrad knew well why his father was speaking like that.
He was a sub.

Devon was excited to start this new chapter of his life – working in a hospital, with real cases, real people. Even if he had an obstacle in the form of an alpha who happened to be his resident.
Luckily, the others were much easier to approach. And they quickly became friends.

Summary
Conrad hasn't seen Devon since before he got off work yesterday, and he's beginning to worry. When he gets to Chastain, he immediately asks around, eventually discovering his husband unconscious on the roof with a mystery affliction. It's a race against the clock to figure out what's wrong with Devon before it's too late, and on top of that, Conrad is having a hard time coping with the idea of his husband being so sick.

Basically a Devrad reimagining of the events of s05e02 No Good Deed. This was one of those episodes where it was difficult to convince myself that Devrad isn't actually canon, and I wanted to write it as if it was. I, of course, had to put a traumatized Conrad spin on it, and I thought that it worked well with my polyverse, particularly the fact that he didn't notice for so long being more easily explained this way.

AJ let's out a booming laugh and wraps his arms around Mina's waist, spinning her through the air as she laughs along with him. He places her down, pressing a kiss to her lips, and then all over her face, his beard scratching against her skin as he does so.
"AJ, AJ, stop, my love," Mina says. "We're in public, and you're still technically my attending."
AJ pulls back, still beaming. "Sorry, I just- you know I would have went with you; I'd follow you to the ends of the earth, but-"
"This is our home," Mina says, shrugging slightly.
"Exactly," AJ replies, smiling broadly.

Summary
Devon has been leaving an unemployed Conrad at home when he goes to work for the past couple weeks. Hawkins has been staying home for a while, he'll be fine, and Devon will see him at lunch time.
Today, though, Conrad asked Devon to stay home with him, and something about the request, the way he asked, almost begging, is eating a pit in Devon's stomach.- - - - - - - - - -
This is the suicide arc they should have had in canon. Conrad can't handle having been fired and feels as though there's nothing else in his life. Devon shows him there are still reasons to keep going.

The man he brought in today is left unsupervised in the waiting room and goes to the pharmacy asking for a specific drug. Upon being denied, he takes hostages and locks himself in a supply closet with them.
