Summary
Danny makes a few connections between Gotham’s vigilantes and his new family. The Justice League, mainly because of Constantine, summons Danny as the Ghost King. Bruce and co think he’s kidnapped when he vanishes with a “Aw, man. BRB.”.The JL try to keep Danny entertained while they wait for Batman to show up. Red Hood goes reluctantly in his place, and he recognizes Danny and calls Batman. Bruce finally comes to the Watch Tower, where he finds Danny entranced by space. Bruce frets over Danny immediately.
"Batman sprints into the room, Robin on his heels.
As the pair get closer without any indication of slowing, Danny can’t help but hover a bit out of reach.
“Um. Hey, so listen, sorry about disappe--”
“Report. Now.”
“Uh. I haven’t done a book report in months, what?”
“He does not seem injured, Father.”
“Oh, no, I’m all good. Are… are you guys okay?”
Batman’s nostrils flare slightly. “Explain what just happened.”
“Yeah, so I was summoned. For a, what did you call it? A consultation?”
Constantine sighs. “Yes, which I’d like to get back to, by the way. King Phantom still hasn’t explained how to defeat the ghost dragon.”"

Charlotte Bellis is a girl who is both known and unknown. She is strange, everyone can agree on that, even when most can't quite pinpoint why. Despite her peaceful demeanor, most can't help but notice her. They notice the cold feeling, the foreboding sense, as if something is about to happen. It's too much for most, that inexplicable urge to get away before it's too late.
Lottie, though, just wants to be a girl. A girl who is different, yes, because who else speaks with the spirits yet to cross over? She tries despite this, and despite most not wanting to stay around. She tries with her mothers support and love, the only person whose love outweighs instinct.
When her only living reason to linger is ripped from her, crossing over immediately, Lottie finds herself unable to come up with a reason to stay, especially considering the struggle that is the foster system. Now she must dodge the people who only wish to use her, and find somewhere to stay safe while also getting a grip on her magic without any instruction.
It's a good thing Grandma and Grandpa know a bit about Gotham, just enough to find shelter. The only problem is that they seem allergic to giving any straight answers about those Waynes.
