    Raising a hand to block out the bright sun, Wei Ying took in how they chose the perfect day for A-Yuan’s swimming lessons. Big fluffy clouds drifted along like fuzzy bees high on nectar, occasionally blocking out the sun and giving the people below a slight reprieve from the direct heat. A slight breeze that just barely made their hair dance yet didn’t disturb the dry sand was the final cherry on top of such great weather.

    Even the ocean was perfect-- the clear water reflected the sun, almost glowing with golden light. The small waves gently touched the people swimming along the coastline, not toppling over anyone at all.

Even in the heart-wrenching midst of pure grief, Wei Wuxian was painfully beautiful.

     

    Yet Lan Wangji thought he was at his most beautiful when a smile graced his face, when happiness shone from his entire being. When he was asleep, face slack and relaxed, yet still shifting around until he felt Lan Wangji was next to him and cuddled close, swinging a long leg over him and murmuring softly. When he ate the food he loved until his stomach was bursting, he was at his most beautiful.

On one end of the spectrum, he has his jiujiu who while he can go to him for anything and if he’s lucky would only receive a ten minute lecture on how stupid whatever he did was, there’d be little that Jiang Cheng wouldn’t do for him. The only drawback was that the man was so emotionally constipated Jin Ling now equated Jiang Cheng’s empty threats to break his legs with ‘I love yous’. On the other hand was Wei Wuxian who is…Something. Obsessed and wild, he has no boundaries, especially when it comes to his husband.
