Summary

Desmond looked tired as hell, but there’s nothing new or unexpected about that. For quite some time already, he’s been giving the impression of not knowing what sleep was, dark circles forming under his eyes, voice full of exhaustion. I’d feel sorry for him were I not as world-weary as he and had I the time to feel sorry for anyone. I am way too busy to empathise with others and play babysitter („Oooh, poor you, lie down and I’ll make some tea for you and everything is going to be wonderful again! Let’s hold hands and ride off into the sunset on a unicorn’s back!“)
