Summary
Sharon Carter is a fugitive. She passes her time by tracking down SHIELD agents who still haven't been found after the infodump. One of those cases dredges up the past in unexpected and terrible ways. On top of that, Sharon uncovers a Hydra cell only to discover that they have a plan to either rule the world or destroy it in the attempt. Just in case that isn't difficult enough, the US government has figured out her connection to the fugitive Avengers, and someone has stolen her aunt's files - files that might hold the key to saving the world.
With something even larger on the way drawing away her potential resources, Sharon is forced to call on people she hasn't spoken to in years and rely on new allies to take on an ever-growing number of enemies drawn in by Hydra's message of hatred and power.

Summary

But the bullet's in her side and it's torn a path through her muscle, her ligaments, her organs. It's buried deep in her flesh and it's causing her so much pain -
"It's okay -- you're okay. Stay with me," he pants desperately and futility as he hears her lungs strain under shallow breaths, crushed by the pressure of blood flowing into the cavities inside her.
He pushes on the wound and the hot liquid fills the gaps between his fingers - he's trying to hold on to her but it's impossible, like trying to hold onto smoke in the cold night air, there's nothing there to grasp, it's all disappearing so quickly and all he can think is, not again.

Summary
It wasn’t a surprise, after everything, that Anvil had to resort to using temporary offices; not really. What was surprising was that they were even still in business. Even more surprising, was how they connected with the story she was already looking into and how everything lined up and pointed to Frank Castle being in danger.
