As much as everyone he works can't put up with his jokes and lies they need him at the end of the day. At least that's what he tells him that helps him sleep at night. In truth Deacon isn't fully sure if anyone he works for actually likes him for who he is. Hell who even is he? Nobody knows not even himself and that's starting to get to him too. He can barely even remember what his own mother looks like anymore. He's lied so much that reality is beginning to slip away but he keeps going.
