Basically a retelling of my Fallout 4 playthrough starring my OC Bent as he tries to make the Commonwealth a better place for his nephew while his brother Nate finds Shaun. It will diverge from and continue past canon events, including original characters and quests. This is also my first time publishing a fic anywhere, I'm just trying to see how comfortable I am doing this.

A society that still stands to this day against all odds. He knew they were responsible for the Brotherhood of Steel losing their foothold in the east. He’d met the children they had raised. Bright, chaotic, loving children. A boy and a girl, forever looking 10 and 14 even as their souls grow old and they experience more and more of the world.

The institute is defeated! The gang(Sole, Deacon, Hancock, Piper, and Cait) drink to celebrate and then Sole gets sad and wants to burn down Sanctuary because it kind of hurts to think about a life you will never have again. Cait ends up walking Sole back to the Red Rocket base they live at together down the road, but Sole is. Way too drunk and way too in love with Cait to just not tell her. Things. Progress.

Nobody expects the little guy, that's why Deacon makes a perfect spy. It was easy for him to move through the shadows unnoticed, it was how he'd managed to escape The Switchboard unharmed (though of you asked him he'd say it was because he'd seduced a handsome courser into letting him live).
As much as everyone he works can't put up with his jokes and lies they need him at the end of the day. At least that's what he tells him that helps him sleep at night. In truth Deacon isn't fully sure if anyone he works for actually likes him for who he is. Hell who even is he? Nobody knows not even himself and that's starting to get to him too. He can barely even remember what his own mother looks like anymore. He's lied so much that reality is beginning to slip away but he keeps going. He keeps doing his job because he knows if he left it up to the easy to see full-sized folks they'd just get themselves killed and he could not have another fucking death on his soul, that would be far more than he could possibly bare.
That mentality made him pick up any job offered to him which in turn took him all the way across the Commonwealth to Vault 111.- Language:
