“Maybe I have, then. Whatcha gonna do about it?” Callie sticks her tongue out at Three. She was kidding but somewhere in her head, she hoped they would keep pushing, keep playing this game with her. She could’ve stopped this line of thought five minutes ago, could’ve pulled away so she wasn’t nose to nose with them but she didn’t want to. She glances down, their lips are parted, still catching their breath. And they see it. Three sees something in her gaze change. Her eyes go from playful to dangerous in one flick. Their hearts pound in their throat. Callie looks beautiful in the blue glow of the television.

Summary
He didn't know why his first instinct was to seek comfort from the agent that nearly killed him. He didn't know why the agent sought comfort from him after doing the same. But after the first time, when Eight woke up to frantic knocking at its door and opening it to the sight of Three crying (sobbing, even. Seeing their usually deadpan face express so much genuine terror startled the octoling at first), it only felt right to let them cling onto him like the world was ending again and mumble awkward reassurances the rest of the night.
They had eventually fallen asleep together. Three was gone by the time Eight awoke and they never spoke about it again, but there was a sort of… silent agreement, like most things they tend to do. And so it became part of their routine.
Both of them were good at routine.

Summary
Sometimes, it is up to the imagination to dictate what is reality; if you believe in a dream hard enough, wishing upon the stars to bring you said wish, the universe will always find a way to make that happen. Yet, the collective mass of one wish can out way the other wish, causing the other to be lost into time.
“ CHAOS REIGNS! ” was chanted across Inkopolis Square as the results of the final splatfest- Chaos vs. Order- was announced for every Inkling and Octoling to hear. A collective mass cheered, a wish having been granted to those who had won… and a wish having been forgotten to those who had lost; Two wishes that had burned as brightly as the stars, one fell to Earth, and the other slowly died out… sitting in wait and longingly.
A star that soon sparked away with a wish; a wish for order.
A wish that was not the same at the start.A wish that was collected and cultivated, burning brighter than its sister star of chaos, causing events that could not be reversed… events which caused the destruction of reality, fiction, and time.
