Sans would be dead if it weren't for his older brother's position at the "Rainbow Factory." He pushed through life knowing that he had no real purpose due to his weaker magic and turned to various things to cope.
Until one day his friend from the ruins makes him promise to look after a small human child.
Turns out he has more purpose than he thought he did. But is it worth the risk?

Sans is actually from another world, after a failed attempt to get to his world after defeating Giygas. The young boy wakes up in another world, as a monster with a human soul that he desperately tries to hide. Throughout constant resets, his mind and heart break down until he becomes almost unrecognizable as the emotionless but jovial monster we know him as.
Then elements of his past turn up and he begins to break from the inside out.
Old fanfic, will be getting a complete and total revision once I finish revising my other fanfic. This writing is nine years old. I was 22 then.
