~~~Link stared skyward, the dragon he had seen countless times throughout his lifetime idly flying overhead. Its cry resonates through the open sky as it weaves through the clouds to return to the trajectory.
The hero sank to their knees at the small crater in which the tear had once been, now surrounded by the princess’ favorite flowers. As soon as the white dragon's tail vanished into the cloud, the decorated knight, hero of the kingdom, crumbled to mourn their princess.

After the Calamity the main priority has been to rebuild not only the kingdom but their morale. Overplanning and anxious Zelda wants to ensure the royal line to ease her people's insecurities and asks her trusted knight to be of assistance.The problem arises once something horrible is found underground after all of her careful planning...

“About what I'd say if I ever met my past self. I know I said I wasn't sure, but I – I thought about it a lot, you know, when I was in the past. I – I often had the thought that maybe, if I figured out a way to go forward in time again, I could... make a stop by our past. You know.”
He swallowed the pork. “Change it.”

After two apocalypses, Hyrule is settling into a new norm. Its people, brave and defiant, have survived it all. But of them, very, very few remember the way it used to be.
Link isn't one of them. He doesn't want to go back. He loves Hyrule as it is now, broken cloud barrier and all. Besides, they've already learned their lesson. Time travel does not change the past, regardless of the strange dreams of the neo-champions. He doesn't even know enough to decide if it was a world he liked.
Then, he recalls.
And he's always been one to fight losing battles.

Link never thought to see Lorule again, nevermind find it (and Ravio!) healthy and well, but here they were.
Of the others travelling alongside, many seemed lost about things that felt obvious: the Triforce, the Master Sword, even Ganondorf! But the library in Lorule Castle was still mostly intact, and Ravio and Hilda knew every inch.Surely they could find answers there.
Surely there weren't more surprises waiting for them, or things unsaid that would affect everyone. Right?(But nothing was ever that easy.)
