Summary
Bilba has been a slave her entire life. All she knows of the outside world is what she sees from time to time outside the gates of Moria and the stories her mother used to tell her. Stories of a place called the Shire where her mother once lived and a placed called Erebor where, as far as she knows, her father still lives. Stories of dragons a thousand times larger, and more intelligent, than the beasts the orcs rode and of a strange concept called freedom where one was allowed to live as they wished with no one to tell them what they could, or could not do.
The stories meant little to Bilba. The only future she had was to live, and die, as a slave as countless number had before her.
And then the orcs dragged an injured female firedrake through the gates, her rider screaming obscenities behind her as he fought to reach her side...and everything changed.

They can cook, sew, clean, be trained to guard livestock or even read small words. They are great judges of character and once one has been chosen as their family they instantly achieve positive social status. Most importantly though, Hobbits are the greatest companions that love unconditionally.
Change is on the horizon. The fate of Middle Earth hangs in a balance. A treacherous journey with almost certain death at the end. The company of Thorin Oakenshield will travel a great distance, face countless challenges, and test the strength of their wills against insurmountable odds.
Bilbo Baggins will not let his family face these dangers alone.

Hobbits, being the smallest of the free races and less inclined toward violence, knew that they would be at great risk from dark or greedy forces. So, the Hobbit leaders banded together to create a plan. The plan was domestication. Let the other races think them like animals. Dogs, Cats, Birds and others have been cared for by the taller folk with only companionship and love as the exchange. So why not Hobbits as well? After all, what is more comfortable than having food, shelter and protection provided for you?

In this world they know there will be no coming Back from the Adventure they are about to take, but that's alright. For in the going there and leaving the hearths of their past, perhaps then they will be able to find the home they truly belong with when they come Back again.

O pequeno elfo Calion/Harry de 5 aninhos sendo cuidado por Bilbo, amado e mimado pelos anões e estimado pelos os elfos da terra média era tudo que eu precisava e não sabia.
Eles estão em Valfenda, os anões ainda detestam os elfos (menos Calion), Bilbo tem dúvidas e que quer ir para a aventura com os anões e seu bebê (não sei se os elfos vão deixar). No último capítulo mostrou Snape encontrando o corpinho de Harry e vendo suas lembranças tristes na sua perspectiva infantil (foi bem triste).

"Did you love him?" She heard him ask. She clung to the sympathy in his voice and nodded as her eyes brimmed with tears.
