Again, Again. Again and Again.
Wei Ying. Cheng Xiaoshi. No matter how many lives, he wanted to save him no matter what.
Lans love once, and it has only extended further each and every time. New names, new identities, new worlds, yet at its core is Wei Ying who cares so deeply for other people at the cost of his own expense. There are always some differences, little things and new sides to him that Lan Zhan is more than happy to explore.

His eyes opened to see dark-colored eyes, yet oh so very bright despite that, staring intently at him.
“I really liked your playing.”
“..It’s you.”
The person at the other end of the hall who would wave or smile at him, despite them not talking ever. They were just neighbors. Familiar faces in a sea of those who would move for one reason or another.
The black-haired teenager smiled sheepishly, “Mhm, it’s me! It feels a little funny when you think about how long we’ve seen each other and yet never went to learn each other’s names…”
That blinding beam was shot straight at him. “I’m Cheng Xiaoshi! I heard your playing and wanted to see who it was. I thought it’d be such a shame if that person didn’t know how good it was, so here I am!”

They tried to outrun the raindrops, but it was impossible. And once they were about halfway home, it became abundantly clear that it didn’t matter— they were already soaked to the bone. Lu Guang’s clothes clung tightly to his frame and Cheng Xiaoshi’s hair hung limp around his cheeks and jaw, dripping. And so Lu Guang slowed from a sprint to a jog, and then to a walk, and then a complete stop, his hand in Cheng Xiaoshi’s slowing him, too. Cheng Xiaoshi doesn’t seem the least bit put out as he comes to a complete standstill with Lu Guang in the middle of a now abandoned street, turning to face him as the rain cascaded down around them and blanketed all other sounds.
That bubble that had found them on the basketball court is back, surrounding them as they try and catch their breath, their hands still locked as they stand toe to toe, staring at each other.
The love that Lu Guang feels for Cheng Xiaoshi in that moment is so overwhelming, it nearly knocks him straight off his feet.

Lu Guang can't calculate how many times he has done this, the sins he's bearing, the deaths of people he had caused indirectly or directly, but as long as it secures the safety of the people he loves, it's fine. It's okay. Still, there's a limit to everything, his doing, and his patience. If things will never go the way he has them planned, then he just needs to take it to a more extreme measure to make sure everything is still under his control. But if the people he loves will always die no matter how hard he tries, then he will make sure they can die by none other than his very own hands and create a peaceful paradise for the three of them.

Aunque nunca dejaron de bajar la guardia, lograron encaminarse de nuevo en sus vidas, ya establecidas, e incluyeron a más personas en ellas. Después de todo, esto era por lo que habían luchado tanto, especialmente Lu Guang, quien, a pesar de haber roto el nudo de muerte de Cheng Xiaoshi, nunca había dejado de protegerlo, ni a él ni a Qiao Ling. Sin embargo, últimamente, su mente no dejaba de sentir que debían estar más alerta que nunca, lo cual lo tenía preocupado. Pronto tendría algo más que ocuparía su mente.
Por otro lado, Cheng Xiaoshi se encontraba más recuperado de los últimos años. Si bien ahora había aprendido a ser más intuitivo y más responsable respecto a las cosas, sin perder lo que lo caracterizaba. Al mismo tiempo, todo lo que pasó logró fortalecer su relación con Lu Guang, llegando al siguiente paso el cual no era tan grande como el que estaba a punto de dar ahora. There will be found family trope, spies, "who did this to you?", Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi, Shen Miaomiao that i couldn't find in the hashtags but I am obsessed with Qiao Ling/Shen Miaomiao, fluff, angst, fighting, guns, knifes, hopefully a plot and little cute college things.The story is fast paced but slow burnnn, ! The characters that are "evil" in the original work aren't always evil in this ff (example, Vein) !
