my favorite thing in this fic are the baby angst fics and barrier idea
sans/papyrus not believing the baby is theirs and breaking things off only for you to birth a legit skeleton baby and them realizing how much they fucked up
of and their Anti Harem headcanons are a gold mine
and the idea being that the barrier was made to be stronger and surpress 'something' in the underground depending on the monsters population volume,just something the mages did to weaken the monsters so wouldnt escape, like in underlust it surpresses their furtility, underfell turns them more angry and in horrortale having the core fail causing the barriers magic to come in full force

They had a pretty good thing going together. With the farm, ranch, and grove, they didn't have to rush and tumble and die in pain nearly as much just to survive the day-to-day. Their runs helped other monsters survive as well, which was good. Of course, survival didn't really mean shit when the barrier was as insurmountable as ever, and they still couldn't reach the top to break it. Not without dying, starting over, and dying some more.
So, they haven't given up. Not technically, just accepted that with what they had now it just wasn't possible to cross the Void just yet.
And then ten skeletons and two humans drop out of the sky into their laps. Maybe with their powers combined, they will be able to do it?

Low key ate, hoes mightve had all their problems solved with the concept of a breat pump but its fine /silly
The way horror is written is really cool, boarderline feral, the bare least of saniry being the only thing keeping anyone (sans!classic) safe, completly starved from food even after months of not years outside his own AU, and generally just prett angst in desperation
