It’s been two years since the cure for the infection had been found, and life has been going fairly well for both Willow and Tigry. They were both getting to live a normal life, like they’d always wanted to. They’d made amends with each other and repaired their friendship. Willow had finally found closure when it came to her brother, too.
Neither of them were prepared for all of that to be flipped on its head.

The two sat around the dimly lit fire, an axe they had found next to it — precautions they’d took, so that the smoke from the flames wouldn’t alert their presence, and they wouldn’t be found by those monsters, and the axe in case they did find them — huddled together on a wooden bench for warmth.
“Hm? Yeah B?” Doggy responded, moving his lightened paw away from the human, before turning to them.
“Those…”
He watched as his working partner stuttered, before seeing their mouth open to continue.
“Er,” They cleared their throat, “Those creatures out there, I.. I think they were our friends.”
