Cloud is trying to make his makeshift family with Tifa work, but Denzel has already walked out due to Cloud’s erratic behavior. Cloud can’t seem to get a grip because so many painful memories keep flooding back to him. Until he finally remembers someone he’d blocked from his mind for so many years…Novah. He discovers Novah is still alive after all this time, but looks completely different. Cloud’s fate is altered when Novah bites him, infecting him with “Jenova 2.0.” Cloud discovers himself at the mercy of two seemingly psychotic “vampires,” Novah and Professor Araphael Ota. Novah and Araphael attack all over the western continent to spread the Jenova virus, which either kills its victims or causes them to drink blood to survive. The WRO attempts to fight off the attacks. So Novah and Araphael need someone stronger among their ranks, and they plot to resurrect “Mother’s Favorite,” Sephiroth. Cloud poses that he’s adamantly against that…but a part of him is dying to see Sephiroth again.
