For years, Cloud Strife has walked around with a colourful soulmark on his side: the biggest indicator that he has met his soulmate. The only downside is that he never could remember who it was or where they were. The only way he even knew they were still alive was because his mark never went back to black
During his final fight against Sephiroth, the psychopathic bastard actually decides to give him all his memories of his soulmate back, thinking he is dead anyway and unknowingly sets him on a practically impossible quest to find him to hopefully have some sense of stability and completion back in his life.
He just has absolutely no idea where to begin...

Not my usual timeline. Cloud and Sephiroth fall into a bizarre world where celebrating Halloween is not just encouraged, but enforced, and anyone objecting suffers a bizarre curse. This is unfortunately Cloud's fate. When all Sephiroth's desperate efforts to reverse it fail, he goes to Tifa for help. Once convinced of its truth, she accompanies Sephiroth on a determined quest to save Cloud. Along the way, she begins to learn a lot about Sephiroth that she had never guessed.

Cloud is just starting to settle into life with Genesis when he starts experiencing bouts of back pain. It's nothing, really, until it is.
It isn't until he's on his way home from a long haul delivery that the pain gets bad enough for him to take it seriously, but by then, it's much too late.
Cloud's back pain wasn't nothing. It was a sign of something much worse, something that changes everything he thought he knew about himself. He can never go back home, but he's a fool for thinking that Genesis would ever let him go.
