Summary
Daniil Dankovsky finds the Stillwater to be an unsettling and lonely place that lives up to its name. Or at least he would if Clara would stop bursting in at the most random times demanding a place to rest. But over time as he and Clara open up to each other, he finds that the Stillwater is changing. Or perhaps, the thing that's changing is him.

Summary
In a post-diurnal ending where Peter lost Andrey, Artemy tends to him with food, maybe a little more generously than he ought to.
(Additional warning, as there doesn't seem to be a feederism tag: this is softcore feeder porn)

Summary
General Block wasn’t a child-snatcher, and he was a man of his word – when the Sand Pest was confirmed to be eradicated, the train that had carried the town’s children away brought them back.
So many who had hugged their parents goodbye just a few days before searched for them in vain. Such a return couldn’t be anything but chaos – even those children who had done without parents for years had hideouts that mothered them instead, familiar places that embraced them, and searched the burned districts and repopulated row houses in vain for where they remembered feeling safe.
She had listened so desperately in the past for a calling. Was that how it was supposed to feel? When she saw that little boy wandering the street and it seemed so simple, suddenly, to kneel down in front of him and put her shawl around his shoulders...was that what it meant to be a Mistress? -

Summary
Of course he rushed to Peter. No matter what toppled or burned to the earth, that guiding principle, that lighthouse of the soul, would stand.
He shoved through the chaos, reek and retch and flame, and took every shortcut, brooked no delays, and he was too late. -

Summary
He was no stranger to that house, of course. But he had never seen behind the door to which she brought him.
The bedroom that had belonged, once, to Vlad and Victoria Senior. Khan had never full-heartedly agreed with his family’s creed – that every structure manifested or remade the souls of those inside it – but it would have been impossible to stand outside that door and not feel the size of the souls that had once lived behind it. As if they had stretched the structure out of shape and not the other way around.
A void much larger than he and Capella. And certainly not one that suited him in shape – he was no Boos Vlad. He would rattle around in the hollows of that house like a marble in a wooden cask. Would his family’s creed have him remake an ill-fitting structure, or adapt? -

Summary
For all Andrey had hung himself from tenterhooks over it, his first proper dinner beneath the Burakh roof went pretty damn well. He surprised his lover-of-late by bringing something palatable for dessert, and got the kiss he’d wanted for it. He helped Sticky- hell of a name, an orphan’s name, and maybe that was why the boy clung to it- set the table, told and laughed at stories over beef steaks and fresh bread, and didn’t notice the girl, Murky, slipping from her chair until the door closed behind her.
The story he’d been telling- not too bawdy, keeping his audience in mind- trailed from his lips. He looked from Sticky to Artemy for some sign of what he’d done wrong, but they both worked away at their pudding as if nothing unexpected had happened.
“Was it something I said?” he asked. -

Summary
Warmth climbs lazily into Artemiy’s cheeks.
“Анхадагhаа аман болошоhон Убшэ в Хайратай,” he recites, dredging the words from a memory he can barely recall beyond the hushed lilt of a language that never quite made a home in his throat.
Daniil raises one brow, waiting patiently for a translation.
“The mouth becomes sick in love,” replies Artemiy.

Summary
Tell me how to love you, Artemy thinks. Stakh looks at him, unreadable as always, and there is no answer, only an echo: tell me how to love you.
(The play ends and the actors bleed into the characters. Artemy attempts to nurture life on a soil sodden by death. Reluctantly, Stakh lends a hand.)

Summary
Daniil Dankovsky, reduced to working as a pathologist, is summoned to an idiosyncratic port town to help hunt down the man suspected of a string of gruesome, ritualistic murders. Dankovsky quickly deduces that he was not selected by the Behaviorists for his medical expertise, but for his personal connection to the Ripper—and, perhaps, his outlawed thanatological studies.

Summary
And when all is said and done, when there’s no more blood to wash your hands of, who do you still need to look in the eye? Who will look at you?
When you’ve taken the flame of magic and put it out with your own fingers, whose home can you walk into, head tall?
Diurnal ending (a choice of love, like any other) and what’s in the silence that follows.(added informative notes at the beginning about the deeply self-indulging nature of this work where i ask you to pretend i’m simply picking up where i’ve left off.)

Summary
She twinkled, standing there. The twinkled more, as she fell. As she was split into a thousand glass panes, projecting prisms of light across the town.
