Summary
Years after Overwatch collapsed, Cole Cassidy has been living off the grid—dusty, forgotten, and full of ghosts. When Winston’s Recall finally reaches him—late, buried beneath years of silence—he makes the decision to return. Quiet. Unannounced. No promises.
As Cassidy gets pulled into the global strategy to combat Null Sector and keep eyes on the ever-shadowy Reaper, the team begins assigning missions. Cassidy, still finding his footing, is asked to scout a red-flagged zone in Nevada—a dangerous hotbed of both Talon and omnic activity.
But he’s not going alone.
Enter Hanzo Shimada—Overwatch’s newest (and most tightly-wound) recruit. An archer with a blade for a tongue and a history as sharp as his arrows. He’s Genji’s brother. A killer trying to rebuild what little redemption is left in his name.
This is the beginning of their story, their missions and fighting. To the end.

Summary
Cole wasn't sure how to feel about Genji bringing Hanzo to Overwatch, not until he actually met Hanzo. If Genji was willing to forgive his gorgeous brother than obviously, Cole needed to make sure Hanzo felt welcome. It was completely altruistic, no ulterior motives at all.

Hanzo Shimada has been attending therapy sessions with Doctor Angela Ziegler since joining Overwatch. These sessions appear to help the archer tremendously in processing his emotions as well as coming to terms with his troubled past.
He does not confide in Ziegler for everything, though, as there are many things he deems as too personal. Well, he tried not to.
In other words: Hanzo talks about how he lost his legs and a certain Cyborg finds out.

Years ago, overwatch found Genji barely hanging on to life. They brought him back, in a new body.
Years ago, Cole Cassidy befriended the stoic and untouchable Genji Shimada, and acquired a newfound hatred for his perpetrator.
Today, Cole has to live with a changed Genji, giving redemption to his brother.
Will a mission to Japan be enough to calm the rage within Cole? With Hanzo acting like they don't exist, he's not too sure.

“And what would that be?” Hanzo looked over his shoulder.
“I ain’t too good at doin’ what I’m told.” Cole smirked. “And I love provin’ people like you wrong about me.”
“I’m not wrong about you, cow man. You will only hurt my brother if given the chance.” Hanzo faced forward, his grip tightening on his plate as his anger rose.
“I ain’t the one hurtin’ him.”

After witnessing men coming into Genji's life and hurting him, Hanzo takes matters into his own hands to protect his little brother.Even if that means getting in between Genji and Cole's relationship.
