Summary
Over 30 years ago, omnics and the supernatural creatures of the world teamed up to wage war on humans. As humanity teetered on the edge, a strike team was formed. At its head, two survivors of a soldier enhancement experiment. The strike team soon blossomed into an organization of skilled hunters and soldiers. This organization would come to be known as Overwatch. Through their efforts, the omnic threat was neutralized and supernatural creatures retreated back into the shadows.
As time went on, the organization began to crumble under the wake of its infighting, and infiltrations from other organizations looking to bring Overwatch to its knees. Finally, with allegations of innocent deaths and infringement on sovereign rights hanging over its head, Overwatch was disbanded. In its wake, other organizations rose in the name of keeping the world "safe". The worst among these is Talon, who creates chaos to profit on it.
When attacks begin to surge worldwide, Winston calls Overwatch back into action and the battle begins a new to finally put an end to Talon, once and for all.

A soft sound brings Genji's attention back to the recording. “No,” Hanzo whispers, so quietly Athena has to boost the sound, creating small crackles of feedback in the speaker. Genji’s heart thumps loudly in his chest. “No,” Hanzo repeats, a little more strongly, “Father, please.”
Sojiro scoffs, curling his lip. The item he’d been reaching for comes into view of the camera – a bow, not too dissimilar to Stormbow, but stained in the reds and blacks their father was known to be fond of. “You’ve been warned, Hanzo.” Sojiro produces an arrow from a quiver stashed somewhere behind him, nocking it on the bowstring. “This tendency of yours is detrimental to the clan and will not be tolerated.”
Hanzo makes a more concentrated effort of struggling against the guards. “I promise it won’t happen again, Father. Never again. Just please, don’t do this!”
OR: When Overwatch confiscates old files from Shimada Castle, Genji asks Athena to sort through them and show him anything she thinks he should see, which leads Genji to the realization that he's managed to completely miss the fact that his brother's gay... and that their father wasn't who Genji thought he was. So, he decides to take matters into his own hands.

Following a skirmish at Suravasa Temple, an Overwatch strike team is led to Null Sector’s base of operations. During infiltration, Genji quickly understands things are not what they seem to be.
Caught between loyalty to their causes, stopping an emergent threat and wishing to save Zenyatta from the clutches of Talon, Genji and Ramattra both face an ultimatum: Stay the course or tempt fate and act outside set confines.
What follows is a choice made in desperation, putting in motion a dance of manipulation and revelation. Figures from the past return, a global conspiracy is laid bare, and the future is more uncertain than ever. In between it all, Genji and Ramattra come to learn they are opposites only in part—and what should be crystal clear becomes exacerbated by budding feelings.
