Summary
Rumi stumbled towards the balcony and looked out over a dark city. No lights, just the moon bleeding red high above and in the distance the fiery glow of Gwi-Ma, gigantic and menacing.
Rumi had woken from a pleasant dream and into a nightmare. She heaved, gripping the railing on the balcony, a keen sense of wrongness overwhelming her. Like the world itself was wrong. Closing her eyes, she tried to center herself, hyperventilating. Ice clawed it's way through her veins as her mind reached the only possible conclusion that made any sense; her happiness had been a lie and they'd lost. She really had woken from a dream.
Or, Rumi steps through the looking glass into a world where everything went wrong.

Summary
Jinu has been Gwi-Ma's slave for centuries.

Until the day he finds himself offered up as a gift—tribute, bribe, trap—to the demon lord's heir, a Hunter-raised half-blood demon called Rumi who hates him and what he represents on-sight. He half-expects her to send him back to the Underworld in pieces.
Rumi sees his presence as a death sentence for her. It's becoming hard enough to hide her patterns from Mira and Zoe. How is she supposed to hide a demon-gift sent by the demon lord of the Underworld?
He's clearly a trap, one that leaves her with no good choices. Every subsequent decision seems to magnify her patterns and drag her deeper into her demon heritage.
What to do? Hide him? Kill him? Contain him? Or...help him?

Both get stuck in the past and are desperately trying to figure out how to get back to their respective timelines before they're found, trying to use the skills they developed during the timeloops they were bored in.

As all three demons dissolve, something strange happens.
The Honmoon twitches. Shudders. Something about it roils. The world, for a brief, blinding second, flips on its head. Rumi’s stomach lurches. The tightness in her chest closes into a fist, simultaneously vicious and gentle, as contradictory as it is. Rumi’s vision flashes white. She gasps and falls to her knees, the breath ripped from her lungs.
Gradually, her vision returns to her. She sucks in a sharp breath and looks around for Mira and Zoey, curious to know if they felt the same thing just now. Somehow, she already senses that they did.
On what should have been an ordinary demon hunt, there is a fundamental shift in the Honmoon. It blesses Rumi, Mira, and Zoey with the abilities to feel each other's pain and emotions. Mira and Zoey view it as a blessing, a boon to killing more demons and achieving the Golden Honmoon. But privately, Rumi views it as a curse. How is she possibly supposed to keep her secret when her friends can sense her every emotion?
