Summary
So basically today I was watching the Hunchback of Notredame and I thought, "Huh...what if Clopin had a somewhat husband he raised Esmeralda with?" And yeah. There isn't that much cannon divergence, everything is the same except Thomas (think, how the French pronounce Thomas) is now there and he's not even strongly relevant to the plot.
This is basically a collection of Clopin interacting with him inbetween and during some parts of the movie. Meant to be cute and angsty, sort of just a fun thing.

What if Quasimodo had never lived with Frollo?
In this tale, set in a French community in Depression-era New York City, Quasimodo does not spend the first years of his life with oppressive Fr. Claude Frollo. Instead, Archdeacon Gabriel Martin secretly allows Matthieu and Anne Boulanger to raise him as their own son, Michel Boulanger. But Michel's world changes when he gives away a fresh loaf of bread to a mother in need and advertises that he will continue giving. Suddenly, everyone is taking notice of the Boulanger family...including Claude Frollo, his brother Jehan, and a girl from outside the community, Esmeralda Burr. As the Boulanger family rises, Claude Frollo vows to save himself by reclaiming custody of Michel...at any cost, including innocent lives.
